Darsit K. Shah, M.D., received his medical
degree from the Medical College of Pennsylvania and completed his residency in
otolaryngology at Mount Sinai Hospital. He went on to complete a fellowship in
neurotology at the Michigan Ear Institute. Board certified in otolaryngology,
Dr. Shah is now an attending surgeon at Monmouth. He was inducted into the Junior
Fellow American Neurotologic Society, and is a member of the Academy of Otolaryngology
Head and Neck Surgery.
Among his special honors and achievements, Dr. Shah
is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society and received the McGraw-Hill
Award. He has completed several papers, presentations and publications on many
surgical procedures.

Vin Prabhat, M.D.,
received his medical degree from Cornell University Medical College. After completing
a residency in otolaryngology head and neck surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center,
he went on to complete a fellowship at the American Academy of Facial Plastic
and Reconstructive Surgery.
An attending surgeon at Monmouth,
Dr. Prabhat is board certified in otolaryngology and facial plastic and reconstructive
surgery. He has done research in these fields as well as in the area of oncology.
A
Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, his professional affiliations include
the American Academy of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery and the American
Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He has delivered several
presentations concerning his field of expertise.

Mitchell Weiss,
M.D., received his bachelor of science
degree in chemistry from the University
of Illinois, Urbana, Il where he graduated
phi beta kappa and was a golden key
national honor society member. He
received his medical degree from the
University of Chicago Medical School,
Pritzker School of Medicine.
Dr. Weiss completed his
residency in radiation oncology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, New
York, serving as its chief resident in 2002-2003. During residency, Dr. Weiss
was involved in research activities including head and neck as well as gynecologic
malignancies. Dr. Weiss has presented his work at national meetings including
the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology and the American Society
of Clinical Oncology.
He is board certified in radiation
oncology, and his professional affiliations include the American Society for Therapeutic
Radiology and Oncology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American
Brachytherapy Society, and the New York Roentgen Society.

Sang
Sim, M.D., received his bachelor of
arts degree from Rutgers College where
he graduated in the top 1% of his
class. He graduated from University
of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-Robert
Wood Johnson Medical School where
he was elected to early induction
into Alpha Omega Alpha, a prestigious
national medical honor society. He
graduated at the top of his class
and was among the first to receive
the Stanley S Bergen Medal of Excellence.
Dr. Sim completed
an internship in internal medicine at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital/St.
Peters University Hospital where he was elected Outstanding Resident
of the Year. He completed his residency in radiation oncology at Memorial
Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, New York, serving as chief resident. During his
time spent there, he performed duties as acting brachytherapy fellow specializing
in the use of permanent and temporary seed implants in the treatment of various
malignancies including prostate cancer. In addition, Dr. Sim brings expertise
in the use of intensity modulated radiation therapy and stereotactic radiosurgery.
Dr. Sim has interests in research and has published on
lung and prostate cancer. He is board certified in radiation oncology, and his
professional affiliations include the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology
and Oncology

Medical
oncologist David J. Sharon, M.D. received his medical degree from New York Medical
College, New York, and completed a four-year residency in internal medicine at
Beth Israel Medical Center, New York. He completed a fellowship in neoplastic
disease at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York, where he served as chief clinical
fellow. He has served as section chief for hematology/oncology at Monmouth since
1985 and is a past president of the hospital's Medical and Dental Staff.
He
is a diplomate of the American Board of Medical Oncology and among the professional
organizations he holds membership in is the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
Dr. Sharon recently was named co-chair of the Task Force on Cancer and Aging by
the New Jersey Commission on Cancer Research, and he is the co-chair of the Lung
Cancer Committee of The Cancer Institute of New Jersey's Cooperative Group.
